About

Športujúce mesto is unique open-air event providing wide range of sport activities. The main objectives of Športujúce mesto are to promote exercise, sport for all and healthy lifestyle at all levels. We want to show and present both traditional and nontraditional sports, improve recruitment in participating sports clubs and also creating leisure activities for public. The event is promoting „sport for all“ including sub-groups such as seniors, handicapped, all genders, all ages, level of skills or experiences with sport. All sport activities are carried out by sport clubs, organizations or federations.

The main principle of Športujúce mesto is to offer dozens of sport activities for public (for free of course). There are 3 main activities during our event:

  • all-day activities in Sad Janka Kráľa (you can come and try any sport between 10:00 – 18:00)
  • public trainings (mostly cca 40-50minutes group trainings such as yoga, running, functional training – with clear timetable)
  • sport shows and exhibitions in OC Aupark

In 2016 our project/event Športujúce mesto was successful in Erasmus+ programme and was expanded by participation of foreign sport clubs from several European countries (Czech rep., Poland, Italy, Hungary, Belgium, Austria, Croatia). For more info about this project please visit this link.
